Herath Premaratnea, 55

Authorities say someone recognized the suspect’s image on the news and turned him in to police.

COSTA MESA (KTLA) — A man accused of trying to unzip a teenager’s pants aboard an Orange County bus last week is believed to have targeted at least two other teenagers. 55-year-old Herath Premaratnea was taken into custody as he exited a bus at the corner of Harbor Boulevard and Wilson Street on Oct. 28, just hours after officials released images caught on bus surveillance cameras. Premaratnea is suspected of being involved in at least two incidents that happened Monday aboard the OCTA bus traveling near Ave and 18th St. in Costa Mesa about 5:40 p.m.
