deasia-watkinsAn Ohio mother is accused of decapitating her 3-month-old baby girl with a chef’s knife on Monday, Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters said at a press conference Tuesday. Deasia Watkins, 20, is charged with aggravated murder for the death of her daughter, Janiyah Watkins. Deters told reporters his office expects to present the case to a grand jury early next week. He added that he doesn’t anticipate seeking a death penalty specification, noting the mother appeared to be suffering from serious mental illness. READ MORE HERE
