  •     Turned 9mm pistol on himself after being told by the police to drop his weapon and died in hospital two hours later
  •     The two girls were lying inches away from the shooting
  •     The girls were rescued after three days in the thick woods of New Albany, Mississippi and were dehydrated
  •     Alexandria Bain turned to her sister Kyliyah after Mayes hot shot himself and said ‘Now we can go home’
  •     Officers spotted them after after a tip-off from the public
