Father sentenced to 40 years in son’s death

BOULDER — A Boulder District judge on Wednesday afternoon sentenced a 27-year-old Lafayette man to 40 years in the 2009 child abuse death of his infant son. Boulder District judge Maria Berkenkotter’s decision came at the end of Benjamin Koller’s sentencing hearing, which lasted more than three hours.
