A housekeeper has been accused of child abuse after allegedly being seen spanking and then hitting a preschooler on the back with a closed fist. Police said the 5-year-old girl had had major back surgery in late 2008. Artrella L. “Quilla” Gilreath, 51, of 916 N.E. 19th St., was arrested Tuesday after she went to the Gainesville Police Department to talk to investigators about the case.
