Guinness heiress Ivana Lowell has revealed how her tragic upbringing in Kent set her on the path to a lengthy battle with alcohol addiction. A direct descendant of Arthur Guinness, the 18th century founder of the iconic Irish brew, 43-year-old Lowell endured aturbulent upbringing at her former home in Bearsted, near Maidstone. And as she reveals in her new autobiography – Why Not Say What Happened? – the aristocrat’s early years in the Garden of England were memorable for all the wrong reasons. “I come from a rather chaotic family and we lived in this rather large house at Milgate Park,” Lowell told KoS.
