Ricardo Costa, once held on $75 Million bond, takes shocking plea deal in child abuse case

PRESCOTT – Ricardo Costa, held in the Yavapai County Jail for most of the last three years on a record-breaking high bond of $75 million dollars, accepted a plea agreement and will serve only: lifetime probation. Costa, 39, was charged with two counts of continuous sexual abuse of a child. He originally faced a dozen counts of sexual misconduct and was not eligible for bond. Last year, those charges were thrown out and Yavapai County Superior Court Judge Tina Ainley set his bond at $75 million, cash only.

Thank you dreamcatchers for raising public awareness of our tragic situation here in Sedona. The children in this story were tragically sodomized and abused for years. The mothers, therapist all involved did their best to document what the abused children reported. Despite due diligence, the prosecutor is recommending to the Judge that he not go to prison for his crime to two children. There is still a chance that the Judge will give him 30 years because of some terms of the plea. Please let the Judge know how you feel. If you would like to donate anything to these children to facilitate their healing, you can use this email: DonationsForCostaKids@gmail.com at paypal. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
