Prosecutors say Alexandra Olaru, 17, has admitted suffocating her baby immediately after giving birth, before setting fire to its body in a stove. A teenager has been accused of suffocating her newborn baby and then burning its body because she didn’t want her parents to find out she was pregnant. Prosecutors say Alexandra Olaru, 17, from Silvilesti in south-western Romania’s Gorj County, had given birth at home while her parents were out for the night. Almost immediately after, she smothered the tot’s face with a pillow until it was dead before throwing its tiny corpse into a wood-burning stove and setting it alight. READ MORE HERE
