NEWBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Some kids trick-or-treating a few days early at the Conewago Valley Mobile Home Park got the fright of their lives when they went to collect candy from a 68-year-old resident. What they found was his corpse lying outside his front door, a victim of a self-inflicted gunshot to the head. “They saw him lying there, but they though it was a Halloween decoration until they got close and they realized it was real,” said Newberry Township resident Donna Jones. Police don’t know when the man killed himself or how long he had been lying on his front step, but think that anyone who had seen the body may have thought it was simply a Halloween prop.
