Woman Accused Of Raping, Murdering BF’s 17-MO

A small pink bear and card are placed outside the door of Phillip Murley Jr., the father of 17-month-old Maleeya Marie Murley, who died at Vanderbilt Medical Center after she suffered brain trauma. Molly Jane Roe has been arrested and is accused of throwing the child, causing her to hit her head on a blunt object, according to an affidavit.

BELLS, TN — A Bells woman has been charged with first-degree murder and aggravated rape of a child, amid accusations that she caused injuries that led to the death of her boyfriend’s 17-month-old daughter over the weekend.The child, Maleeya Marie Murley, was flown to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville on Tuesday and was pronounced dead Saturday night, Bells Police Chief Ilandis Smith said Monday.
